PBA D-League Finals News 2018: Go for Gold Scratchers captured the Foundation Cup crown by beating Che’Lu Bar and Grill Revellers, 102-92, in the 2018 PBA D-League Finals this Thursday at the Ynares Sports Arena. Gab Banal played with MVP-like numbers as he paced the Scratchers with 31 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists, while Matt Salem added 15 buckets.

Notes:

Kris Porter also contributed stellar numbers for Go for Gold as he finished with 14 markers and 4 caroms.

Chris Bitoon consoled the losing Che’Lu with his 20 points, while Jayson Melano chipped-in 17 markers and 8 boards.

Banal poured 21 points at the half but got replaced before the third canto due to leg cramps. However, he defied odds as he came back with barely five minutes left in the fourth to lift Go for Gold over a determined Che’Lu squad.

➤ Go for Gold finished the Finals skirmish with a 3-2 series victory over the Revellers.

Che'Lu defeats Go for Gold, 88-81

August 21, 2018 – Ynares

D-League Finals News 2018: Che’Lu Bar and Grill Revellers defeated Go for Gold Scratchers, 88-81, in Game 4 of the PBA D-League Foundation Cup Finals 2018. Crowned MVP Jeff Viernes backstopped the Revellers with 18 points, while Jessie Collado added 16 markers.

Notes:

➤ Gab Banal paced the losing Scratchers with 20 buckets and 10 rebounds,  as Matthew Salem and Rey Publico also chipped-in 14 markers apiece.

➤ Six Che’Lu players finished the game with 10 points or more.

➤ Viernes is the first ex-PBA cager in history to have won a PBA D-League MVP trophy.

D-League Finals 2018: Go for Gold Scratchers beat Che’Lu Bar and Grill, 98-96, to lead 2-1 in Game 3 of the PBA D-League Foundation Cup Finals 2018 this Thursday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig. Paul Desiderio powered the Scratchers with his 28 points and 5 rebounds, while Gab Banal dropped 11 markers, 8 boards and 6 dishes.

Notes:

➤ It was Desiderio’s last shot that sealed the victory for the Scratchers. With three ticks left in the ballgame, he drove hard to the basket to beat the 96-all deadlock.

➤ Jeff Viernes led the losing Che’Lu with 23 buckets and 6 dimes. Meanwhile, Levi Hernandez and Christopher Bitoon also contributed with 19 points apiece.

 Go for Gold and Che’Lu will once again duke it out for Game Four of the Developmental League Finals this Tuesday, August 21.

PBA D-League News 2018: Go for Gold Scratchers halted Marinerong Pilipino TIP, 96-87, to snatch Game 1 in the 2018 PBA D-League Foundation Cup Semifinals this Tuesday at the Ynares Sports Arena. Matt Salem starred for the Scratchers with his 24 points, while Jai Reyes also chipped-in 17 markers and 5 boards.

Notes:

Abu Tratter carried the losing TIP with his 27 buckets and 5 boards, while Frankie Jackson also added 21 points and 10 dishes.

Coach Charles Tiu of GFG was ejected from the game after incurring two technical fouls.

Go for Gold and Marinerong Pilipino will duke it out once again on Thursday, August 2 for Game 2 of their Semis series.

PBA D-League News 2018: Go for Gold Scratchers mangled the AMA Online Education Titans, 135-91, in the 2018 PBA D-League Foundation Cup this Monday at the Ynares Arena in Pasig. Eric Pili dropped 25 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assits, while Kris Porter contributed a double-double of 20 buckets and 11 caroms.

Notes:

➤ The Scratchers are now 5-2 in the D-League Foundation Cup after the victory, while the Titans fell to the bottom of rankings as it lost its seventh-game straight.

➤ Andre Paras led the losing AMA with 23 markers and 14 boards.

➤ Go for Gold blitzed its way to post an insurmountable lead over AMA, 60-34 at the half. They eventually built a 53-point cushion over the Titans, 135-82 with barely two minutes left in the ballgame.

Marinerong Pilipino halts Che'Lu, 91-83

July 9, 2018 – Ynares Arena

PBA D-League News 2018: Marinerong Pilipino Skippers halted the Che’Lu Revellers, 91-83, in the 2018 PBA D-League Foundation Cup this Monday at the Ynares Arena in Pasig. Jorey Napoles and Robbie Manalang teamed-up to lead the Skippers with 19 points apiece. Napoles also dabbled with double-double as he hauled 11 rebounds.

Notes:

➤ Marinerong Pilipino now sports a 4-3 win-loss slate and currently ranks 3rd in the PBA D-League. Che’Lu Bar and Grill’s five-game win streak got halted with the loss as they fell to 5-2 record.

➤ Jeff Viernes powered the losing Revellers with 19 markers, while Jay Collado added 10 buckets.

➤ Jordan Sta Ana and Kimley Medina had a verbal altercation. Medina was later axed out of the game due to his 2nd technical foul.

PBA D-League: CEU defeated Marinerong Pilipino, 97-79 to notch two straight wins in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup 2018 this Monday at Ynares Sports Center in Pasig. Orlan Wamar starred for Centro Escolar with his 31 big points, 3 assists and 5 rebounds. Pierce Chan also chimed-in 19 markers, while Gilles Oloume dropped a double-double of 16 buckets and 11 boards.
