Fiery James Yap leads Rain or Shine to Semifinals

PBA News 2018: James Yap catapulted Rain or Shine Elasto Painters over GlobalPort Batang Pier, 103-97, to join the Semifinals pack in the 2018 PBA Commissioner’s Cup this Thursday at the Mall of Asia Arena. Yap drilled seven career-high three-point bombs to finish with 27 points, while import Reggie Johnson pummeled ROS with his 29 markers, 15 rebounds and 6 assists.

➤ Rain or Shine will next face Ginebra in a Best-of-Five Semifinals series showdown.
➤ Raymund Almazan also contributed for the Painters with his 16 buckets.
➤ Stanley Pringle led the eliminated GlobalPort with 23 points, 5 boards and 8 dishes, while Pao Javelona chipped-in 18 markers.
➤ Import Malcolm White of Batang Pier was a disappointment as he only managed to drop 12 points the whole game.
