PBA News 2018: Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok torched the NLEX Road Warriors, 102-72, to start its 2018 PBA Governors’ Cup eliminations campaign with a big win this Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum. Import Romeo Travis led the Pambansang Manok with 21 points, 13 boards and 3 assists, while guard Mark Barroca added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals.
Notes:
➤ The Hotshots built a huge margin of 19 points in the first canto, and soared to an insurmountable 25 points lead by the end of the half.
➤ Semi-injured reinforcement Olu Ashaoulu backstopped NLEX with near double-double of 21 buckets, 9 caroms and 3 dimes, while Juami Tiongson made 8 markers.
➤ Magnolia is missing the services of explosive guard Paul Lee Dalistan who is in the thick of 2018 Asian Games basketball tournament.
➤ Travis last played for the Alaska Aces in 2015.
