Lyceum Pirates holds off JRU Bombers, 82-74

NCAA News 2018: The Lyceum of the Philippines Pirates held-off the Jose Rizal University Bombers, 82-74 in the 2018 NCAA Season 94 basketball this Friday at the FilOil Flying V Centre. Reigning MVP CJ Perez delivered monstrous numbers as he powered the Pirates with his 30 points and 16 rebounds, while reinforcement Mike Nzeusseu added 14 buckets and 8 caroms.

Notes:

➤ Lyceum was trailing JRU by 5 points with 6:54 left in the 4th quarter at 63-68, but Perez led a massive reversal as he fueled the Pirates into a 19-6 run come-from-behind win.

➤ LPU did not have Jaycee Marcelino in the game due to a reported sickness.

➤ The Bombers were led by MJ Dela Virgen who had 18 markers, while Jed Mendoza chipped-in 14 buckets and 6 dimes.

LPU is now leading Season 94 with an incredible 11-0 slate, while JRU is languishing tied for last place with San Sebastian in the standings with a 2-9 record.
