PBA News 2018: Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings mangled the Meralco Bolts, 88-81, thanks to Justin Browlee heroics in Game 1 of their best-of-three matchup in the 2018 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Quarterfinals this Monday at the Araneta Coliseum. Import Brownlee stirred Ginebra with his 25 big points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks. Joe Devance and Greg Slaughter meanwhile contributed 14 and 13 markers apiece.

PBA D-League News 2018: Marinerong Pilipino Skippers halted the Che’Lu Revellers, 91-83, in the 2018 PBA D-League Foundation Cup this Monday at the Ynares Arena in Pasig. Jorey Napoles and Robbie Manalang teamed-up to lead the Skippers with 19 points apiece. Napoles also dabbled with double-double as he hauled 11 rebounds.

➤ Marinerong Pilipino now sports a 4-3 win-loss slate and currently ranks 3rd in the PBA D-League. Che’Lu Bar and Grill’s five-game win streak got halted with the loss as they fell to 5-2 record.

➤ Jeff Viernes powered the losing Revellers with 19 markers, while Jay Collado added 10 buckets.

MPBL News 2018: Bobby Ray Parks powered the Mandaluyong El Tigre over the Pasig Pirates, 98-55, in the 2018 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Datu Cup this Thursday at the Blue Eagle Gym in Pasig. Parks registered a monstrous triple-double with 20 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

Ray Ray Parks could have achieved a quadruple-double if he managed to get at least 3 more snatches after registering a game-high 7 steals.

Bernzon Franco provided relief to the losing Pirates with 15 markers.

➤ Celebrity cager Xian Lim managed to drop 6 buckets and 6 caroms.

➤ Mandaluyong raced to a 16 point lead and never looked back, and even led to as much as 50 at one point.

Cyrus Tabi made the clutch layup with a second left to lift EAC over the Scratchers. Michael Mabulac led all scorers for the Generals with double-double 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Tata Bautista also contributed 16 markers and 7 boards for EAC, while game-winner Tabi added 13 buckets with 8 coming in the payoff period.

Veteran Arwind Santos carried the Beermen to its third straight victory with 23 big buckets and 15 rebounds .
