MPBL News 2018: Bobby Ray Parks powered the Mandaluyong El Tigre over the Pasig Pirates, 98-55, in the 2018 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Datu Cup this Thursday at the Blue Eagle Gym in Pasig. Parks registered a monstrous triple-double with 20 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

Notes:

Ray Ray Parks could have achieved a quadruple-double if he managed to get at least 3 more snatches after registering a game-high 7 steals.

Bernzon Franco provided relief to the losing Pirates with 15 markers.

➤ Celebrity cager Xian Lim managed to drop 6 buckets and 6 caroms.

➤ Mandaluyong raced to a 16 point lead and never looked back, and even led to as much as 50 at one point.

➤ The El Tigre is now 2-1 in the MPBL standings, while the Pirates fell to a dismal 0-3 win-loss record.

MPBL News 2018: Quezon City Capitals wrecked the GenSan Warriors, 77-72, in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Datu Cup 2018 this Thursday at the Blue Eagle Gym. Jojo Duncil paved the way for the Capitals with his 14 points 4 rebounds and 3 dishes, while Jesse Collado contributed 11 markers.

Notes:

Chris Masaglang powered the losing GenSan with 18 buckets, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.

➤ The Capitals and the Warriors are now at identical 1-2 win-loss slate in the MPBL standings.

➤ Curiously, GenSan missed a total of 19 free throw shots.

MPBL News: Makati Skyscrapers axed the Manila Stars, 99-98, in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League this Thursday at the Ynares Center. Jeckster Apinan lifted Makati with his 24 points and 8 rebounds, while Cedrick Ablaza chipped-in 23 points. Chris Bitoon paced the losing Stars with 21 markers and 4 assists.
