NCAA Finals 2018: San Beda Red Lions razed the Lyceum Pirates, to cop the NCAA Season 94 Basketball Finals title this Monday at the Mall of Asia Arena. This season’s Finals MVP Javee Mocon starred for San Beda with his 16 points, 11 boards and 5 blocks, while import David Tankoua added 13 points and 16 rebounds.

Notes:

➤ Star player Robert Bolick also made 4 points and 12 dimes for San Beda.

➤ This is the last NCAA season for the graduating Bolick and Mocon. The duo formed the San Beda big three with Tankuoa, a historic Red Lions grandslam team.

➤ Coach Boyet Fernandez is also now a five-time NCAA champion as San Beda’s chief mentor.

CJ Perez, who was suspended in Game 1, led the losing Pirates with his 19 points and 6 rebounds for Game 2, while Jaycee Marcelino had 13 markers.

NCAA News 2018: Lyceum Pirates entered the NCAA Finals anew, as it cracked the Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights, 109-85 in the NCAA Season 94 men’s basketball this Friday at the FilOil Flying V Centre. Mike Nzeusseu powered the Pirates with his 23 buckets and 17 boards while reigning MVP CJ Perez added 19 markers and 4 swipes.

Notes:

Larry Muyang led the losing Letran with his 21 points and 12 rebounds, while outgoing Bong Quinto contributed 12 buckets and 7 assists.

➤ Lyceum is set to face the San Beda Red Lions in a Best-of-Three Finals series which commences on November 6 at the MOA Arena in Pasay. The Pirates and the Red Lions rekindle their rivalry as San Beda won their first Finals tussle in Season 93.

NCAA News 2018: San Beda Red Lions entered the NCAA Finals, as they eliminated Perpetual Help Altas, 83-72 in the 2018 NCAA Season 94 men’s basketball this Friday at the FilOil Flying V Centre. San Beda star Robert Bolick led the Red Lions with his 24 markers, 4 caroms, and 6 dishes, while JV Mocon chipped-in 14 buckets and 15 rebounds.

➤ Reinforcement David Tankoua also contributed 13 markers and 18 boards for SBC.

Jielo Razon fought for the defeated Altas with his 16 points and 6 rebounds, while Tonton Peralta also made identical 16 points. Import Prince Eze also registered a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds for Perpetual.

Perez starred for Lyceum with his 21 markers, 9 boards and 5 steals, while Jaycee Marcelino added a double-double of 17 buckets and 11 rebounds.

➤ Twin Jaycee Marcelino also contributed 14 points and 6 dimes for the Pirates.

➤ Stags forward Michael Calisaan backstopped the losing San Sebastian with 17 points and 11 rebounds, while RK Ilagan made 13 points.

Reigning NCAA MVP CJ Perez backstopped the Pirates with his 22 points, 12 rebounds and 5 steals, while Mike Nzeusseu also contributed 16 buckets and 13 caroms.

Jaycee Marcelino also added 14 markers for the Pirates.

Justib Gutang led the losing Saint Benilde Blazers with 13 points and 5 boards

Lyceum is now up to a perfect 7-0 win-loss record, while St. Benilde dropped to a dismal 2-4 slate.

LPU will next go head-to-head opposite the Letran Knights this Friday August 17.

NCAA News 2018: San Beda Red Lions pummeled Emilio Aguinaldo College, 61-46, in the 2018 NCAA Season 94 Men’s Basketball this Tuesday at the FilOil Flying V Centre. Robert Bolick once again weaved his magic for the Red Lions as he scored 15 points, 6 assists and 2 steals, while last season’s MVP Donald Tankoua also contributed 9 markers and 10 rebounds.

Notes:

Rustan Bugarin backstopped the Generals with 10 buckets, while Hamadou Laminou got limited to 10 points and 9 rebounds.

Emilio Aguinaldo College is now on a 19-game losing streak to San Beda since the time they joined the NCAA in 2009.

EAC is still winless in NCAA Season 94 and dropped to 0-4 slate, while the Red Lions are at 3-0.

PBA News 2018: Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings advanced to the Finals as it stomped Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, 96-94, in the 2018 PBA Commissioner’s Cup this Monday at the Araneta Coliseum. Greg Slaughter powered the Gin Kings  with his 19 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists, while Joe Devance also contributed 19 markers, 6 assists and 3 steals.

Notes:

Justin Brownlee was limited to only 12 buckets,17 boards and 8 assists.

Reggie Johnson fought for the losing ROS with his 22 buckets, 16 boards and 5 assists, while Raymund Almazan also added 13 points and 6 rebounds.

Barangay Ginebra had four players in double figures.

NCAA News 2018: Perpetual Help Altas subdued the Letran Knights, 78-75, to win the opener of the 2018 NCAA Season 94 men’s basketball this Friday at the Filoil Flying V Centre. Edgar Charcos led the Altas in mastering Letran with his 27 big points and 4 assists. He also shot a prolific a 75% (9 of 12) field goal percentage in the game.

➤ Charcos also drained the clutch free charity shot with 13.2 ticks remaining in the game to seal the win for the Knights.

San Beda derails Lyceum, 92-82, bags championship

NCAA Finals 2017: San Beda Red Lions decked Lyceum Pirates, 92-82, to capture the championship trophy in the NCAA Season 93 Men’s Basketball this Thursday at the Araneta Coliseum. Robert Bolick spearheaded for San Beda with his 18 points, 6 dishes and 5 rebounds. Bolick’s dagger trey in the final 50 seconds, part of his seven points in crunch time, secured the Finals romp for the Red Lions over the LPU Pirates.

Notes:

NCAA MVP CJ Perez made a respectable 20 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals contribution for the losing Lyceum. He was scoreless in the fourth quarter, and also fouled out of the game before the end of regulation.

Finals MVP Donald Tankoua dropped a double double 17 buckets and 17 boards for San Beda, while Davon Potts made 16 markers and 5 caroms.

San Beda won its 10th title in 12 years, and notched a record 21 total championships in NCAA Men’s basketball history.

The Red Lions spoiled the perfect eliminations season of Lyceum who had an 18-0 win-loss slate.
